Three out of three podiums! Very good result and a big bag of points at the fastest track in the championship. The support’s been huge at Thruxton. Roll on the next one at Oulton Park!

Race 1 – P2
“I got a brilliant start,” said Simmons. “I tried to stay away from all the incidents and keep my head cool.I was hoping to get a top four finish in the race in an attempt to minimise the damage. I went from 12th to sixth on the first lap and that certainly helped make my life easier. It was all about planning my moves in what was a tricky race. It was really hot too so I had to focus on looking after the tyres as well. It was a very strategic race, but our strategy ended up paying off so I’m very pleased. I was a bit fortunate with what happened to Hauger, but I was in the right place at the right time and that’s what matters.”

Race 2 – P3
“I got up to second on lap one, but Doohan got past so I had to settle for third. It was unfortunate the contact with Pasma and there was nothing else I could have done. It left me with damaged steering so to come home with P3 and a good points haul is great. JHR Developments have been doing an amazing job this season and I’m confident that we can achieve many more great results in 2018.”

Race 3 – P2
“I’m happy with this result and to leave here still leading the championship,” said Simmons. “I think Jack deserved the win after what happened to him in the previous race. I had to settle for second because he was miles ahead. It was such an intense race and I’m exhausted. I feel like I deserve a holiday after that race. It was a lot of fun out there though. Every time we come here it’s always about battling everywhere, every lap. It’s so exciting. I thought I got to the front of the pack too early, but I didn’t want to give up the position and had a really intense 10 minutes of defensive driving.”
